and wants a deep relationship with you and angels really are there with you and are waiting for
God's instructions to help you.
I love to write about how God uses His angels and today the topic will be about fallen angels. I don't think
we can fully understand why and how God uses angels in our lives unless we completely understand how
Satan, an angel, works. You better be on guard because Satan and his fallen angels, or demons, is
devious and he will try to keep you from experiencing a full and satisfying relationship with God.
Satan's forces are attacking us all the time. If Christians knew that God's angels were so close and ready
and willing to help, most of these attacks could be stopped before they even start. Even though the Bible
tells of this fact so often, many Christians have failed to accept it.
I doubt that anyone reading this would argue with me that Satan would love to keep you bound by sin and
to make sure that you do not accept God's gift of eternal life. But, how exactly does he do it, why do we
allow it, and how can we stop it?
I think the best explanation of how Satan uses his evil angels is one that Billy Graham described. It is the
"if" explanation. Mr. Graham says that Satan's entire ideology is based on the simple word, "if." Through
all of time, he has tried to discredit God by making Him out to be a liar in the eyes of man. Let me give you
a modern example of this "if" ideology.
I recently had two emails from teens. Each of them had read my story, "God Would Never Destroy the
Faith of a Child." Basically, each of them mailed me and told me that the story had made them think about
God. They told me they go to church regularly and have been raised in good Christian homes. To
everyone around them, these two young men appear to be good Christians, but in fact, each of them had
doubts. One said he kind of didn't know if he wanted to believe in God and the other said that he wasn't
sure if there really was a God. Did you notice the word, "if"?
Now, before I continue I want you to understand that God's forces are working too. These two boys were
led to this website and they read this story and the fact that they wrote to me and had the courage to tell
me of their doubts leads me to believe that Satan is far from having his way with them. God, and His
believers, are working in these two boy's lives too. Who will win? I pray that God does and I hope you will
too.
I wrote back to each boy and I assured them that their doubts were normal. They are among thousands
and possibly millions of teens that have similar doubts. I often hear teens, as well as adults, say things
like, "If God can move mountains, why can't He heal my mom?" "If God truly loved me, He wouldn't let me
suffer like this."
I told each boy and I am telling you, Satan will stop at nothing to put doubt in your mind. You have to be
diligent to understand the process. It creeps in so innocently, but it does creep in and it has happened
since the beginning of time. Let me explain.
In the Garden of Eden, God had created a paradise for man to live forever. Lucifer, in the shape of a
serpent, arrives and immediately puts doubt into Adam and Eve's minds. Eve had told Lucifer that God
had told them not to eat fruit from the tree that was in the middle of the garden and that they must not
touch it, or they would die. (Genesis 3:3). Lucifer replies that if they eat the fruit, "Ye shall not surely
die."(Genesis 3:4) He put doubt in their mind. In fact, Lucifer appeals to their desires. He asks them if
they want to become as gods. He appeals to their desires and for an instant they forget about God and
his plan for a perfect life for them. They see a desirable tree with desirable fruit and they eat from this
forbidden tree. This seemingly innocent conversation between Lucifer and Eve changes the world
forever. Sin brings about death and it continues today. If they had kept their minds on God and told
Lucifer to leave, our world would be perfect today, but they allowed doubt to creep in.
Think about how Satan works in our world today. Haven't you heard people say, "If I live a good life, I will
surely make it to Heaven," or "If you are nice to others, that is probably enough to get to Heaven," or "if I
go to church, that should be enough." Satan is a cagey devil, isn't he?
It really is simple to see how Satan works, isn't it? But, why then are so many people in the depths of sin?
It is because Satan continues to creep into our thoughts. He will always appeal to your earthly desires. By
always knowing this and remembering that God is always nearby and His angels are ready to come to your
aid, you can beat the devil.
